Jonas-

Go to Apple menu, click on About this Mac, click on More Info, In
the Hardware overview firmware is listed as Boot ROM Version, i.e.,
mine is 4.2.8f1 which I believe is the latest for my G4 Sawtooth and
4.1.8.f5 (the latest) for my Pismo powerbook.
