You're correct that your wireless connection is more of a bottleneck than your HD connection if you have USB 2.0, Firewire, or ethernet. The only slower HD would be a USB 1 HD. > (also assuming that my network is 5.8ghz 802.11a) In real world application 802.11a is limited to mid-20 Mbps thru-put range. 802.11g is about mid-50 Mbps, and 802.11n is around 100 Mbps.
