DAs and QSes mix PC133 RAM quite well. Although my five machines (3 DAs two of which have dual 1.0 GHz QS 2002 processors; 2 QS 2002s each with dual 1.0 GHz processors) all have 1.5 GB of RAM, not all sticks are identical. Most are the slower ones which Apple originally equipped QS 2002s with (one stick of 512 MB, CL3). Some are faster sticks, obtained from OWC and others. A few are so-called PC133/PC100 (CL3 for PC133; CL2 for PC100). The DA and QS models, which have different ROMs but otherwise are generally close to being identical, seem to be quite good at reading each slots SPD, and then programming that slot appropriately. The Gigabit Ethernets seem to be good, too. So, go ahead and mix them: at least PC100 in the Gigabit Ethernets, and at least PC133 (of whatever CL rating) in the DAs and QSes. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
