Blew into the slot to clear out some dustbunny, plopped the DIMM in, turned it on and heard a loud <sizzlePOP> from the computer. Hastily yanked the power cord and opened it up to find the magic smoke drifting away. Fortunately it was the DIMM, not the memory slot.
