As far as I know, in iTunes when you select a playlist and click on Burn Disc it opens up a dialog that asks you if you want to make an Audio CD, an MP3 CD, or a Data Disc. Simply Chose Audio CD to make a disc that will play in a any CD player. iTunes will convert any non Red Book audio files to the appropriate sample rate and bit depth and then burn the CD. Notice you can also add CD-Text in the dialog as well. You don't need to use Toast.
