Thanks to all of you for responding! Lots of differing views. After searching Ebay I have concluded that I would probably be better off buying a used G5. Although I love my G4! I have never turned this computer off since I bought it new in 1999 (except for moving twice) and it still runs flawlessly... it's just slow as christmas with the newer software (OSX 10.4). I can't bear to retire this thing just yet. Guess I'll just save it for my son (due March 7th) I guess this g4 will make a great starter computer for the boy.
