My apps and files that I use regularly are written for the OS X system. I have OS X 10.2.8 on a separate drive. I have been very careful to put only OS X stuff on my machine. I would like to clean the HD with 9.2.2 off and reformat and use it for picture and music storage. Is there any reason I shouldn't? Any operating system problems that might arise?
By my left shoulder is an SE/30 an acquaintance just brought by. He knows not how to use it but wants some information on its disk left there by a relative a few years ago. When I turned on the SE/30 it sparked with enough energy to light up the room. (The picture tube had a cracked evacuation tip in the center of the tube socket.) This 8500 running OS 9.1 worked fine to read the disk and I have the data. So: I haven't used OS 9.2 on my G4 since I upgraded to 10.3.1. But I do use OS 9.1 a lot and a bunch of old data needs it. -- --> Halloween == Oct 31 == Dec 25 == Christmas <-- --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
