MTR 3.14 does a pretty good job, but a LOT of DVDs are now being authored with defective blocks and/or seemingly invalid or impossible chapter starting times and/or durations in order to thwart ripping ... so-called "rip guarding". MTR doesn't work with every variety of "rip guarding". But, it works with some. Disney is the most abuser of "rip-guarding". A certain "indie" producer is another. Still, most producers recognize that intentionally producing a defective disk is going to result in a significant number of returns, on account of non-playability on some set-top players and/or computers. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
