Launch /Applications/Utilities/Console.app View > Show Log List system.log contains system-related messages. console.log contains messages related to your current login session. You can open the folders there and peruse - it's all read-only. There's some interesting stuff there! >I store all the iTunes mp3's in a seperate partition, ( rather than >the default folder), May I presume deleting iTunes wont touch these? Correct. The tech note has you delete iTunes itself and its various prefs and other bits. It doesn't touch your music. I am concerned that downgrading iTunes is a waste of time. I did some (albeit brief) googling and didn't find anything that refers to downgrading as an iPod fix. I found several articles that talk about iPod firmware problems... Can you please supply some references and perhaps a complete description of the actual difficulty you're having? - Dan. -- - Psychoceramic Emeritus; South Jersey, USA, Earth --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
