If you are on a dialup connection and getting 3.3 KB/sec download speed the
time to download a 275 MB file will be 275000 KB/3.3 = 83333 sec divided by 60
seconds/minute = 1389 minutes divided by 60 minutes/hour = 23.15 hr. This not
account for the 6.3 MB you have already downloaded.
The 3.3 KB/sec seems about the same average download speed I achieved when I
was on dialup. If lucky I could 5 or 6 KB/sec.
The 34667 bps is bits/sec not bites/sec so you have to divide by 8 or is is 9
for modems don't remember the modem conversion to Kilobites (KB)
I'm sure someone will correct my math but the time indicated does not seem out
of the ordinary for dialup. ---glen
