I don't know offhand (although I'd guess the .db file), but I'd just experiment. Drag the .db file to the Desktop, in Terminal do a killall Dock (or use Activity Monitor to kill it). The Dock restarts automatically, so you'll see right away whether it worked or not. If it doesn't start or behaves oddly, move the file back to Preferences and restart the Dock again. Also, a general tip for finding what preference file an application is using, make some change to the application's preferences in the area you want to find (so in this case I'd make the problem worse by dragging another file to the Dock :-) ), then open the Preferences folder, make sure it's in List view, and sort by Date Modified, descending. It doesn't always work, but you can also look in Application Support or /Library, and you'll often find the file holding the preference.
