Hello, They couldn't select any of the files to drag them to the desktop.
I experimented on a computer by deleting the " User / Library / Preferences / com.apple.dock.plist" file and restarting. That worked for me in restoring the Dock to is unmodified condition. I've passed the recommendation along. Thanks all.
