i suggest looking up the SPEC benchmarks and comparing thet rev of the
moto/freescale
7xxx with the original 7400.
some of those do not compare favorably{{{ benchmark vs. clock
speed}}}}. , maybe taking a 15-20% hit vs. the original 7400 ,( which
without using the altivec, about equals a PPC 750 G3 in bench vs
clock. )
apple never wanted anyone to know which chip they were using in the
late g4 days.
however its probably pretty decent at 1.42-1.5GHz. depends on the application.
id look for a bargain. id try to beat that price somewhere.
"OG" does not have the best prices ive seen, i only remembered them
because of the
OC sawtooth CPU pulls. they are real cheap.
