To update my experience.
I had my v.1 & v.2 miniStack stacked but
almost immediated it seemed they were too hot.
at least the one from which I boot.
so, I had them spaced with rubber stoppers: space below and between
with
the boot drive on the bottom
Still the boot drive fan seemed to run a lot.
After thinking about this thread I reversed them
then the backup drive fan ran
so I unstacked them but still have them spaced up with stoppers.
and it's much better, less fan.
Clearly the drive you put in is a factor as my boot drive has a very
slight
but noticeable whine.
