Oh that's just wishful thinking.

PowerPC is dead. Even the least powerful original MacBook was faster  
than the best Powerbook at the time. Unless they need something really  
cheap (and the OP is talking about buying a NEW macBook!) I would  
never recommend that people buy a powerPC-based Mac these days...we're  
at the end of the PPC line; there's just too much stuff that doesn't  
run or doesn't run as well on a PPC system.
