I myself am pretty offended when people come on a list and push people
to go up a notch (or more). Its fair to warn them maybe,
but it oftentimes sounds to me like brainwashed commercialism
proliferating itself, especially when with truth distortions.
But I don't complain because a) its not my job, and b) oftentimes they
just push harder (in my real life it happens).
I wonder how many people leave the lists because of this without ever
saying anything ? (they tell us in business marketing 9 out of 10
will).
But don't mind me too much, I'm offended by apple these days almost as
much as by intel almost as much as by microsoft.

On topic: what happens if I try and plug a pair of ordinary speakers
into my G4-DA ? I got a submini to mini stereo adapter, but I read on
apples support site that apple speakers have a ROM which identifies
them to the computer. There they say you "shouldn't" connect regular
speakers, but they do not say it will hurt the computer or the
speakers...
has anyone tried it ?
