Thanks Bruce. I downloaded Clicktoflash, and ended up with a folder
full of items, one of them being a Plugin folder with 18 items in it.
I assume that to activate this program these items, or maybe the
entire folder of 18 items, needs to be placed somewhere in the
Library. Do you happen to know where they go? There is a ReadMe file
in the Clicktoflash folder, called README.markdown, which probably
tells where these items are supposed to go, but no program on my Mac
can read it (what the heck is a "markdown" file?).

Peter, I've downloaded Safari AdBlock several times, and installed it,
but it never shows up in the Safari Prefs (it did in Tiger, but it
won't in Leopard). It just doesn't install in Leopard. Searching the
web, I see other people complaining about this. No one seems to have a
solution. So I've given up on Safari AdBlock. Nor does SafariBlock do
anything.

Jorg, I've tried other browsers besides Safari, most recently Firefox
which I used for 18 months, and there's always something about them
that doesn't measure up, and I always end up going back to Safari
sooner or later. So, I've decided to stick with Safari now and just
try to figure out some way to kill the annoying ads.

Thanks for the help everybody.

Tom
