When doing an over the Network backup like I try to do, I need Personal File Sharing and Remote Login turned on ... they also use a Authentication Credentials package to bypass afp ... all seemed like it was messing with File Sharing across a Network, which might lead to Startup issues ... amateur guesses on my part ... The long pauses have stopped ... not exactly sure why ...
