I decided to just "eat up" the 32 gigs. What surprised me is that the space not
utilized is only 10.95 gigs as opposed to the 32 I expected (anyway, according
to OWC). During the installation the installer could only see 149.05 yet system
profiler could see the whole 160 gigs, of course after installation of the OS,
system profiler now only sees 149.05. Why the disparity between the number of
gigs the installler 'saw' (before installation of the OS) and the number system
profiler was able to see?
TIA.
Pete.

I actually recommend using neither of these methods. For the
Powerbook, I'd just eat the 32GB. Paying $24.95 to access 32GB just
doesn't seem cost effective, especially when you consider the risks.
To get that 500GB drive working with your Quicksilver, the simplest
method is to drop it into a Firewire enclosure. You can even boot off
it that way.Yes, it's a little slower, but it'll save you a lot of
time and needless risk.
