Greetings!
Can anyone Please clear up the Correct "safe boot" procedure for me?"
Once I get to the log in screen {displaying safe boot in red}, do I
immediately restart right then and there - using the log in window
restart option?
- OR - do i log in, let the desktop load and THEN restart??? I can't
seem to clarify this anywhere.
Can/should this be used a maintenance procedure; if so, how often?
Should it be performed to {somehow?} supplement - or substitute -
running disk utility repair from the OS install disc? Should OS
upgrades should be installed in safe boot? {i've never done that - and
never had a problem going back to OS X 10.0 - but just read it on
macfixit}
The units I'm using are a G4 dp450; 10.4.11 and MDD 1.25dp fw800
10.5.6.
Many, many thanks - as always!
