Should have included I am running Tiger 10.4.11 on my Yikes! oc'd to
450, running off a Seagate 80GB 7200 attached to a Sonnet ATA100.

All responses seem reasonable ... the choppy DVD file also ran choppy
off the DVD disk, so I'm betting on the compression? It is a Chris
Botti DVD/CD Dual disk. Don't remember it doing that with the Radeon
7000, except when I had Quarz Extreme activated.

It also runs smoothly after the intro, if I go into full screen mode,
or have the DVD Player control panel over the playback window ...

QE may have choked up my PCI bus with my 7000, so I turned it back
off awhile ago. Everything ran choppy with that enabled.

Will experiment later ... just found this ATI Radeon 9200 on sale
from an older LEM listing ... good deal and courteous transaction
from a Jason McNeal.

Didn't know about all the other options ... but,

Thanks,

Bill Connelly
