I use Mail.

I like it better than Thunderbird, simple personal preference, either  
one would work perfectly fine for my needs.

Eudora sucks large green ones for IMAP use, and I never saw the point  
of paying for an email client.

Again personal preference. Mail clients are an intensely personal  
choice, and rarely based purely on technical matters.

Of course all of my opinion is colored by my absolute preference for  
an IMAP-style account. With IMAP you can try 'em all out. With POP you  
have to get one and stick to it.

Horribly limiting.

Fortunately you've got the IMAP option, since you gave a Gmail account.

Set each one up in IMAP and play with 'em for a while. Uee each one  
for a week or two or three, see what bugs you, see what doesn't.
