well, not dead yet - not at all actually

my main workhorse is a 10 year old beige g3 solely running 9.2.2

it's a happy life and when I soon will have to replace the old beige, it
will be with a g4 model that can boot 9

been planning that for a while now, and my first thoughts was to have a
dual boot machine with both 9 and x

but having a powerbook with tiger available for some months now, has made
me change my mind - the tasks I need an x machine for are so few, that I
wouldn't bother rebooting.

also I find x so clumsy and slow, and a lot of apps acts so much not
maclike, that I'd go nuts if I had to work with x for serious stuff on a
daily basis

so, whenever a website doesn't behave in my ancient browsers (and I
absolutely have to access it), or I have to connect with ssh, I just turn
to the powerbook, get the job done, and then turn back to good ole 9,
where everything is right at my fingertips, and is fast

don't hate me :-)
