No, it wont. Cox, for example, blocks ALL traffic for outgoing  
mailservers on their network authenticated or not, at least here in  
southern AZ...if you're on their network ALL outgoing mail has to go  
through their servers unless you connect via VPN to the network with  
your mail server on it.

Not a big deal, though, all major mail programs will happily accept  
multiple outgoing email servers, and usually try them all in turn  
before complaining. I've got 4 outgoing servers set up on my laptop.  
(Cox, Google, the main UA one and the COP server)
