I failed to mention in my post that this was the second Seagate HD
that failed, the first one failed for the same reason as the second,
but that was prior to Seagate putting 2 + 2 together. The second
drive was the replacement for the first. Both times this occurred I
lost all data on the drives, but the second time I was cognizant
enough to realize that I better back-up my back-up since the first
crash resulted in me disassembling my AppleTV to pull all my video and
music off using a 2.5 notebook HD since you can't "backchannel" files
from the ATV back into iTunes.

What a hassle, all because Seagate FUBARed. Plus the replacement HDs
took 2 weeks to get.
