In answer to your question:

Since DiskWarrior runs only in OS 9, and I have several nine programs that I
need to visit during the month, it is my habit, since I am in nine, to check
DiskWarrior display to see how much out of order it reports. Generally, by the
time it reports 20% or more, I run it for sure, but if I am not busy, I will
sometimes run it on a lower percentage.

This has been my general monthly maintenance procedure for several years with
the same DiskWarrior version!

BUT, it is only in the last few months that I have ventured to use Applejack,
especially because it requires startup in safe mode CMD+s, and the instructions
are cryptic and typical of programmer jargon, as an example: the incorrectly
written instruction for the use of auto vs. AUTO.

Disk Utility sparkled with red errors - but THEN

I did several times.
