It's odd that the Safari security problem has been around so long. Are
they hoping to fix it with Safari 4, and not bother with previous
versions?

I had done some due diligence before mentioning milw0rm, so I'm glad
to get some corroboration here. The anti-virus vendors (McAfee, etc.)
don't have a lot of credibility with me, especially after dipping into
the articles at Vmyths.com.

Anyway, McAfee downrated milw0rm not because of inaccuracies, but
because the site "may contain hacking tools or examples of malicious
code."
