I like to distinguish between surge protectors or surge strips on the one hand and power strips on the other hand. I understand that surge protectors/strips must not be daisy chained. Daisy chaining power strips seems okay. Bruce once mentioned that he ties power strips to the battery side of his home APC UPS boxes. I could do the same with a triple tap.
