Sorry, probably a bad choice of words.

Used as a short hand for:

If someone is willing to give you free tech support (retail value of  
US$75 per hour), wouldn't you want to make it as easy as possible for  
them to help you? If they say "I'll help you for free, but it is  
easiest for me to help you if you put the information a certain way",  
wouldn't you do that?

I consider that just as much courtesy as me stocking some (CAMRA,  
have mercy on my soul) Old Milwaukee Light for my friend that comes  
over and tinkers on my car because that is what he prefers over the  
"sludge" that I drink, Samuel Smith Taddy Porter or Guinness Stout.
