It's not the processor, it's the implementation.

IBM is making huge quantities of PPC RISCs.

Sun is still making its RISCs.

Intel's CISCs are doing well.

And, perhaps the oldest architecture in continuous use, the IBM  
System/360/370/390 (also called z/System), also a CISC, is now in its  
45-th year, and shows no signs of being gone any time soon.
