Hello All, I wanted to upgrade my children's (my old) G4 MDD 1.25 Dualie, 2 GB RAM, OS10.5.4 to the 1.42 Ghz Dual processors and heat sink.
The buss speed is 167 so I should have had no problems. However, when I swapped the processors, heat sinks (big brass one), pressed the cuda button and then powered up and I get the "boing" but the monitor displays nothing. I tried again and still the same, I have tried using CMD + OPT + P + R and I do get the gray Apple but NO spinning wheel. I again put everything back as it was and it started just fine and continues to run. I still do not know what I am overlooking? Suggestions, ideas, comments!!
