Yes I am the same guy who had problems trying to get a G5 to work with
Digidesign mix systems...had to give that up, wasn't able to solve it.
So I am back on my g4 with a new power supply and everything was
working fine...

Until I installed a UAD-1 PCI card into my 64 bit expansion bay, then
all my hardware acted funny and unresponsive. I figured that the UAD
cannot share an expansion bay so I moved it back into the g4 tower.
Then my expansion bay wasn't even recognized in ['about this computer"
nor with digitest or when I tried to open pro tools.

I figured maybe the cards were in the tower in the wrong order so I
moved them to:

64 bit Expansion bay host card in 2
Uad-1 in 3
SCSI Adapter card in 5

Same problem... The odd thing is the UAD-1 is After the Host card and
before the scsi card and both the UAD-1 and the scsi are working fine,
still no recognition of the chassis or my mix cards.

Now I KNOW that a LOT of other people have UAD-1 pci cards working with
their mix system so I am baffled...

Any Thoughts?

Any one experience something like this?

Thanx,
Jack
