So killing it is only a temporary matter. It helps to deactivate indexing in the first place so it won't even start - as suggested earlier in this thread. Yes, I've read it. Killing Dashboard will surely be good. Who needs it anyway? Being new to Macs I've never really understood what it was good for. I'd prefer permanent widgets on my desktop... I'm just thinking... Could this really be it? Only two services/daemons/ threads? It's hard to believe...
