I thought about the possibility that the used power supply might not be a long term solution, but it sounds like it's the best choice given the cost of the new power supply. Another option seems to be using a new non-Apple power supply, adapting it to fit/work in the Mac. I don't think that's the best option at this point.
I think the potential for HD corruption if it fails while in use is tipping me toward replacing the power supply in the next couple days with the used 360W.
