Yes, any Clamshell, Wallstreet, Lombard and Pismo all use the mini-phone
plug with shell and the same voltage and current.

Voltage and current (more or less) have been the same since the Duos and
PB 5300/190 came out. 24 V for everything. 2A for most stuff, Duos are
about 1.5A and the 17" PowerBooks and most/all Intel MacBooks/MBP run
more than 2A. 5300/190 used a dinky coax power connector. Up through
the Clamshell iBooks and G3 PowerBooks the larger mini-phone plug with
shell was used. After that and up to the Intels the smaller
sub-mini-phone plug with shell was used.

And just to round it out, PB1XX series used 7.5V at 2 or 3 A with a coax
power connector.

The Magsafe added some complexity (I'm not confused) but, oh, it is SO
worth it. My only complaint is they haven't come out with a real auto
adapter. The Magsafe Air dingus doesn't count, it doesn't charge the
battery and it's not really the right voltage for car use. And the only
third party model requires cutting up an Apple adapter since they won't
license the connector. Bad idea.
