1) It is if you lock your profile down 2) It is a social networking site, to talk to friends etc. Its really useful for planning events and reconnecting with old buddies 3) Its a website, so so long as youve got an OS X Mac with a relatively decent browser, itll be fine (Use it on my PowerMac G4 and MacBooks / PowerBooks all the time.
