Facebook is the annoying social website du jour. MySpace was yesterday's. Works with any modern browser. You can use their IM system via their web site or with apps such as Adium. I've found it's quite nice for getting in touch with / finding old classmates and AWOL relatives. It's reasonably secure, in that you can lock down your profile and such so noone can see the details without you giving your permission. I've been on there a few months now and haven't seen any spam from them. Note that Facebook, like myspace and ebay and paypal and ... is a target for a lot of spoofing emails, so be careful using any emailed link that claims to be from 'em. - Dan. -- - Psychoceramic Emeritus; South Jersey, USA, Earth. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
