I just had the very same problem (my old card reader wouldn't read the new 4gb SDHC card I got), picked up a new reader from Computer Geeks for $13 including shipping. <http://tinyurl.com/yfn6x6d> Had I looked at the Big Lots where I got the card, I may have been able to find a reader for less; thought they're spotty on supply, obviously.
