Been doing a lot of work on older Macs of late, so I've kindof lost
track of where Apple's use of memory technology has gone this past
few. Back in the day, Apple poopoo'd error correction in memory --
too expensive, unnecessary, etc. heh. My experiences with large
computer facilities taught me that ignoring memory errors is foolish.
But Apple, except for a few models, trudged on.

Am I reading correctly that the latest Macs *still* don't use ECC
memory? They're depending on single-bit registration still?

What got me to thinking is this article on ars...
