Yea, freecycle is great, I've had a working G3 iMac from there  
(missing keyboard and mouse, otherwise fine) and a 12inch PowerBook G4  
(this was borked beyond repair, but I got the hard drive out for the  
prev owner and she let me have the remains. Plan is to part it out on  
eBay). I even saw (but missed out on) a G5 powermac!
