There was a determined core of resistance to OS X at first; however I
ran my Beige very happily for years with OS X 10.2. It's supported
right out of the box with the caveat that this is one of the 'must
install OS X within first 8 Gigabytes' macs. This presented no
problems, there is a simple hack to move the Users directory to
another partition; I had no issues with space until I got a DVD
burner, for which I needed 4 gigs of temp space to burn a disc.

That lead me to my G4 GigEthernet, which is still going strong as my
LR media machine hooked up to the big TV. Does more surfing than media
service.
