I appreciate the info. I'm still using tape but have been considering (and rejecting) other options. I'm also kind of rejecting tape, which is why I don't have a regular backup solution right now. I like to have multiple backups which can easily be taken off line and off site and none of the solutions are really looking attractive, given the capacity of modern hard drives these days. But I still have this stash of unused 4mm tape, so I might as well use that up before I switch...
