How do you configure the buttons on OS 10.4? I have no dialog for  
configuring buttons in the Apple mouse/keyboard pref pane.

I do have APE installed. I'll try removing that. I have had APE  
installed for the past four years and never had a mouse problem.

I never had both Logitech and Kensington software installed at the  
same time.

For the time being I'm only going to use the Apple mouse (but I  
really dislike not having more than one button and no scroll wheel)  
and see if the problem pops up in the next few weeks.

I do think it odd that two mice would fail in a few weeks with the  
same symptoms without some underlying cause.

What is the LEM forum? I Googled LEM forum but nothing related to  
mice or computers came up.
