I have had a couple of problems over the last two years cloning drives with CCC 
in one hit so now I clone the system , then users then applications and finally 
data.
These cloned drives are bootable too.
I'm not sure why it hasn't worked on the odd occasion but I find if I break it 
down like that into smaller parts it always comes through. This mostly on 
Panther and Tiger - unsure of Leopard.
