Yes. And his whole boot on the DVD, repair permissions etc is problematic/unnecessary. We've covered the whole repair permissions mess over and over on these LEM lists - just don't do it unless something is *actually* broken that doing so is *known* to fix. Repairing the volume itself is ok but if your Mac is working fine, you're better off just doing a verify pass now and then; no reboot necessary.
