I managed to score a dual 1.42 GHz card and heat sink for what was a single 1.25 GHz machine. All I did was swap out the old, and install the "new". Worked without issues the very first time. Although, even with the correct heatsink, the fans do run louder, but I've gotten used to it, so it doesn't bother much anymore. And I don't know if the dual card came from a FW800 or FW400 box. I was just glad I had the 167 MHz bus speed so I didn't have to mess with that. And while I had the machine open, I cleaned it out, carefully, and swapped one of the installed 120 GB HDD's for a 250GB drive and (finally) upgraded to Leopard. I debated the worth of doing any upgrading on a four year old {{C machine, but it has served me well, and my current uses don't demand an Intel box, yet.
