Take out all the Ram sticks and run your computer with just one in place. Use one of the modules that you know is good and try it in the suspect slot as well. That should tell you whether it is the slot or the stick that is at fault. Another way is to download and run Memtest http://www.memtestosx.org/joomla/index.php which takes a while but it will tell you if one of your sticks is kaput.
