I saw a hint within the last month or so (either on MacOSXHints.com or Hackaday.com, iirc) about using a generic universal remote with Front Roe, taking the place of an Apple remote, so if your device works with Apple remote, then this might work.

Thanks Bruce,
I believe that it was this (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php? story=20091209192746302) hint that you saw. I have looked into the Harmony One remote before, but I could buy four or five more of the PCTV mini sticks for the price. That said, it does look like a sweet remote. I was thinking about something along the lines of the RCA universal remotes that cost $10. If not, I will probably end up getting an Apple remote, though I would prefer something larger.

As an update, we built a couple of AT-ATs today, which ruled out the Lego bin as a possible hiding spot for the remote...
