The next question is, is there any differences in the cases between the 2001 and the 2002? ebay has lots of them but rarely do they tell you the year? is there a way to tell from just looking at it? Jeff
Per MacTracker, the QS (2001) came with a 733, 867 or dual 800 MHz CPU. The QS 2002 came with a 733 (education version), 800, 933 or dual 1000 MHz.
Of course the processor could have been upgraded or downgraded so it's not definitive even for a unique configuration.
I would look at MacTracker for more details. It may show other ways to discriminate between the models.
