I just got a Pioneer 118LBK (newegg)K connected to firewire. Worked fine for my DL DVD+R 10.5 backup, after I finally googled how to do it the correct way.. I stay away from LaCie.- Too many bad stories I've read about their drive compatibility and quality. -Mike
